Salisbury Institute
You may have visited the Twelve25 Youth Enterprise Centre and seen the Institute Hall, previously known as Salisbury Institute.
Salisbury Institute was first established in 1858 and meetings were held in the Salisbury Hotel’s Assembly Room. The Salisbury Institute building was constructed in 1884, the building was home to Salisbury’s social and cultural life. More than 130 years on and some renovations (including extensions that were added in 1901 and 1928), it still stands but now as a home to programs and activities for the youth of Salisbury.
