The Hive Community Resource Hub supports community members to learn new skills, build connections and access resources to help with the cost of living.
The Hive Community Resource Hub is located in the Burton Community Precinct, which includes Salisbury United Football Club and a playground. Springbank Plaza Shopping Centre and a petrol station are conveniently located next door.
Driving
There are plenty of free car parking options available at The Hive with no time limits.
Public transport
Public transport is available to visit The Hive. Plan your journey with Adelaide Metro.
The 401 bus is available from Salisbury City Centre (stop 49 Church St towards Paralowie) arriving outside the Burton Community Precinct (stop 60).
The Hive is open to everyone and there are a range of programs and services to suit your needs and interests so you can learn new skills to help keep your living costs down:

No Interest Loans
The Hive also supports the community to connect with a range of services, including the Food Centre ‘No Interest Loan Scheme’ that provides individuals and families on low incomes access to safe, fair and affordable credit.
Conversation cafe
Are you new to Salisbury or keen to connect with neighbours and make new friends? You can join our Conversation Cafe for a free coffee, cake and chat on Tuesday 4 March at 9.30am.

Over 50s programs
There are a range of programs for people aged 50 and over at The Hive.
Join the Over 50’s Friendship Group every Wednesday from 10am to 11.30am to connect with others over a friendly chat or listen to an engaging guest speaker. Your first visit is free, and from $3 for future visits, which includes a tea or coffee. Drop in and introduce yourself to our welcoming volunteers. Walking group
Adults of all ages can join the free Burton Heart Foundation Walking Group every Tuesday at 9am. Please meet out the front of The Hive at 8.50am for a 9am start. The walk will go for 40 to 50 minutes, followed by a tea or coffee. For more information, contact the Heart Foundation Walk Organiser, Ray, on 0407 889 862.
The communal garden is available for all community members to help you learn how to grow your own fruit, vegetables and herbs at home and is open during The Hive opening hours. Existing programs and activities will continue in the garden and more will be implemented.

A library collection is available at The Hive, including a dedicated children’s area.
The Libraries SA one card network means you can borrow books from any South Australian public library. You can borrow books from other libraries and collect them from The Hive by placing a hold. Find out more about our libraries.

Recording studio
A recording studio is also available for hire for individuals and community organisations. This creative technology space is well equipped to curate a range of content including podcasts and audio recordings for special projects.
