John Street Shopping Precinct
John Street a is popular shopping precinct located in Salisbury City Centre.
The area features a great range of local and independent retailers. There are some great cafes and restaurants on offer too. At the end of the street you can relax in the Civic Square, and visit the Salisbury Community Hub. Take a walk down the Judd Street laneway, which includes two large murals, a static table-tennis table and a relaxed seating area. Lighting and greenery activates the experience of the space, which was given a face-lift in 2013 as a result of feedback from local businesses.

From department stores and the ease of Parabanks shopping centre, through to the independent retailers and grocers of John Street, the retail offer is varied. Likewise, there’s a great range of restaurants and cafes, with everything from the perfect flat white, tasty banh mi or spicy curry.

From financial services through to real estate and lawyers, the full array of professional services is on offer on John Street or in the surrounding areas. Health, beauty and leisure are all represented, as well as a wide range of civic and educational services.
Parks and gardens
Pitman Park on the Little Para River provides open green space just a short walk from the city centre. The Civic Square provides a shaded place for relaxing and a playground area for children.
Getting there
The Salisbury Interchange serves Salisbury City Centre, with trains to Adelaide taking just 20 minutes. A network of local buses operates from the interchange, and there is a large amount of parking for those arriving by car.
